Chris and I adopted and restored this sad bookshelf that was left in his class room by the previous teacher last summer. We took it home immediately and stripped the paint from it — layers upon layers of both pale pink & vomit green. My grandmother was nice enough to lend me her sander so I could sand down the shelf and soften the edges. It was quite a fun project. :)

A little sweat, help from both my husband & grandmother, and a little stain helped this become the bookshelf that it is now. I am so glad to see all my books sitting out in the open now. :D Now I’m thinking about restoring something else now! hmm..
