Day 1: Stuffed chicken.

So I have been debating the idea of starting a 365 Project for the longest time now. I originally wanted to start one last year but I lacked the motivation. As I mentioned in my blog, I think this year is the year for many possibilities. I plan to start many projects & I want to have fun while doing them. One of those projects I have decided is going to be a 365 Project. Being a very nostalgic person I can see myself next year looking back on all the photos I’ve taken each day. It’s almost like a visual journal and I love the concept of it. So here I go! Wish me luck. :)

My first photo is of course… food. No big surprise there. Chris and I absolutely love cooking together and we’re always coming up with new recipes… or concoctions. We love to take the foods we already love and see what it’s like to mix them all together in a way that brings out the flavor of each ingredient.

Chris decided to butterfly the chicken breast by slicing it in half almost all the way… just enough to lay it out flat. He breaded the outside with wine and lots of herbs & Parmesan. In the middle he invented some sort of concoction of herbs, cream cheese, ham, onions, roasted garlic and lots more deliciousness. He baked it facing upwards and just before pulling it out of the oven he folded the chicken over to create a nice crispy outside.

We also cooked some sweet carrots & yummy home-made mashed potatoes (smothered with herbs & parsley) to go along with the chicken. It had to be the best dish I have had in a long time… and I must add, it was the most flavorable chicken ever. :) Yay Chris!

Wow! I’m so glad you’ve decided to start on Project 365, Latrina! You’re right about 365 being a visual journal, I often look back at my own photos – not only I can look back on what I’ve done for the past year, I could also look back at how I progressed in photography techniques. =D

Your first photo and I’m really salivating to bits! Mmmm. That chicken looks absolutely yummy! I’m keeping myself from licking the screen already hah. =)

    Here’s to another 364 more days! ;)

Thanks Ember! I am pretty excited about starting this project. I hope I don’t struggle later on with it. My only worry is that I might forget to take a photo one day! So now I’m leaving my camera bag on the coffee table as a reminder. :) Let’s hope this works! lol I’m sure after a few weeks, it’ll become routine.

I see that you’re almost done with your 365! How exciting. :D I often flip through your photos as well. I can definitely tell how much you have grown as a photographer. You do have such brilliant pieces. :) Do you plan doing this again for another 365 days? :P

Oh! I’m telling you. Chris cooks the yummiest chicken. All his foods are so flavorful. :D
