One of the few stones that are carved with quotes at our local zoo. This stone was near the entrance to the China exhibit. I absolutely love them and so I decided to snap a photo of this one. I am such a hippie. :)

I know this is real because I saw it with my own eyes…but for some reason, the letters almost look fake in the picture. I guess just because you don’t normally see that quality of penmanship carved into rock or something :P Great picture, though–the lighting and colors are gorgeous. Every time I go to the zoo, however, I take note of this rock, because it’s an amazingly honest quote that definitely fits the vibe of the Native American-inspired part of the zoo.
I love the great penmanship of it. It’s almost too perfect! It’s definitely one of my favorite things about the exhibit as well.. :)
That’s a beautiful stone! We have a metro park around here that has a “secret garden” that you can escape to and it’s actually off the path and everything. When you get inside there is a brick structure that has plaques engraved with different quotes. Add that artistic accent with fountains and all sorts of interesting plants and it’s just simply wonderful.
Loveee your pictures.
@ Morgan. I remember reading your blog entries about that secret garden. The pictures you shared were gorgeous! I’d love to have parks like that around here. :) Soo beautiful. I love the brick structure idea as well! I’m a sucker for anything nature, hehe.
Absolutely beautiful penmanship on the rock. And what a powerful quote. Thanks for dropping by and I am definitely adding you to my Google Reader :)
@ Nicholas. It’s crazy how well the penmanship came out, isn’t it? I absolutely love it. And thank you :) Hope to see you back!
