Hazel.

I have spent the past 18 months helping my sister out by babysitting my niece. She is such a huge part of my life now. For being so small, she has taught me so much — compassion, warmth, strength, and love. She’s a remarkable little being. :)

She and my sister moved away two months ago and although it has been hard getting along without having them two around — the distance has strength our relationships. She and my sister spent the holidays with Chris and I and it was so nice having them around again. This is a picture of her I taken before she left in February. Although she isn’t smiling, it’s still one of my favorite photos of her. Those big brown eyes are so heartwarming.

Aww, I miss her already–even if she does make the neighbors mad with all that stomping and galloping :P

Oh, I enjoyed her enthusiasm while she was here! The running and galloping was so damn cute.

She is beautiful….. oh wow. I love this picture– the lighting, her little face, it’s beautiful.

I’ll bet that you are such a great aunt, aw. =) I’m a pseudo-aunt to my best friend’s little new born baby boy, it’s so exciting!

Did she at least move somewhere close to you?

I love this portrait – your niece has really lovely eyes. And she’s just too cute! It must be a privilege to babysit her. Although she isn’t smiling, she still looks smashingly adorable :) awww!

@ Morgan. Sadly, no. :| She lives about 8 hours away. I suppose that’s not TOO far but still too far to travel. I get to see her again in May so I am very excited! :)

@ Teddy. Thank you! It really is a privilege. Her and I have so much fun together! haha

@ Kelsey. She’s such a hand full, are you sure you’re ready for that? :P If you start to show how responsible you are then maybe Cricket would let you sometime! Especially this summer when she starts back to working, Alana will be over y’alls house ALL the time, I bet. lol

She’s so much fun though, isn’t she? Despite the demon-side we saw of her today, haha.

I just had to laugh when look at this photo — that baby’s facial expression, haha. She seemed to be saying, “Humphs, the camera again!”.

@ Rin. Haha, you’re most likely right. She’s always excited at first when she sees the camera. She is such a ham. But she quickly gets tired of constant posing and smiling. :P I still enjoy the candid shots of her though. So much fun.
